We’re off to the Job Centre in Stamford tommorrow. I’ll be looking for either a job that will put my computing skills to good use, with hopefully a good salary to go with it, or else a job in a caring profession (e.g. social work) or working for a charitable cause. Louise will be looking for a job as a nursery nurse or a similar childcare job.

We’re both setting a firm minimum £15k salary level as we will need this to be able to afford our first house, which was a major reason for our moving up here in the first place. We can borrow 3x-4x our combined salary, which means £90-120k. The sort of houses we’re looking at are in the £105-120k range.
